Will they do take out??
Super cute atmosphere. Steak Frites are on point! Good, not great cocktails. All the starters we ordered were delicious.
MoreThe Little Frog is an intimate French Bistro with great drinks. It is a good place to both meet friends and if you a looking for a little romantic place, Little Frog will give you the atmosphere you are looking for. I am a fan of the Little Frog burger and the mussels. Go..I am confident you will enjoy.
MoreAt the first moment you arrive in this restaurant the personel give you a nice feeling. Very friendly stuff, it is a nice place to to go out with friends and colleagues or with your date. Excellent meals, creative chef, modest pay and excellent service. Highly recommended.
MoreThe food was disappointing and pricey. A bad combination.
Incompetent and mediocre. An hour after we had ordered, the waiter informed us she had lost our order. When we left we found that someone had stolen our umbrella from the bucket under the nose of the owner. A tattooed thug came over to threaten me when I complained. Nice place.
MoreBeautiful, fresh, clean yet cosy restaurant.Great vibes and ambiance.Amazing live music on Thursdays.Really nice team there.Great cocktails.Fantastic food. No matter what you order, everything is so good! That’s it. We’re going there once a week...
MoreI've been following Little Frog Bistro on Instagram for a while now and was just waiting to come to NYC to have a meal there. It didn't disappoint me at all- what I saw on Instagram was exactly what we ate. The food and service were outstanding- I"m not only going to return on my next trip but recommend my parents to visit her on their next trip.We ate- Iberio Ham and Duck Parfait (Fois Gras) for starters; 2 of us shared a whole duck (it was flambeed at our table!); Tuna Tartare; sea scallops risotto; Nicoise Salad (very different recipe); and a creme brulee.Absolutely delicious.THe manager kept coming over to explain each dish - he was truly interactive. Great restauranteur.
MoreWe loved Little Frog! We live nearby and have been wanting to try it for a while now. The inside of the restaurant is very cute, and the restaurant was full on a Saturday evening around 7pm, so definitely call ahead! I think the service was amazing and I experienced no rudeness as a few other reviewers mentioned. The owner is French and doesn't beat around the bush regarding wait times and availability which is great, but I can see how some people may expect more sugarcoating in that regard. The food was amazing, the scallops were perfectly cooked through and the escargots were perfectly seasoned. I'll definitely be back!
MoreOne of my favorite places since it opened! Delicious french food, beautiful restaurant and great service. I take friends and family here when they visit.
MoreLittle bistro on the UES. The service is okay (some of the hot food only serviced tepid) and the food is hit or miss (avoid the risotto). They offer a reasonable wind list. It's loud, be prepared to yell at your dining partner.
Morethis cute little french place is acutely not to bad i ordered the lobster mac and cheese the lobster was nice and tender and the mac had just the right amount of cheese and good french bread that is what i like to see but i do think the restaurant vibe needs to be updated
MoreWe visited Little Frog for Valentine's Day and had a great time and some enjoyable food. Some day we shall return.
MoreDon’t eat here! If more people go, I’ll never be able to get a table. Great service (from the French) and nice menu selections.
MoreVery high quality food. A bit pricey, but quite on par with the quality. Ambiance very nice. Excellent for small groups or special evenings.
MoreGreat service from a friendly waiter.
dessert 🍨 was bomb!
I hosted a surprise proposal for my now fiancé (she said yesss) and it was absolutely perfect. We rented out the restaurant for a Saturday afternoon brunch and the staff, set up, and service was impeccable!! It was reasonably priced and the perfect ambiance to celebrate! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Even just go for a meal, the food and service are amazing!!!!!
MoreBest French Bistro in the upper east side without a doubt
This place is unreal. Haven't heard much about this place so I didn't have high expectations but every dish was more delicious than the next. And extremely friendly owner and waiter. Will definitely be back!!
MoreAbsolutely loved everything about this place! The food was awesome and James our wonderful waiter and the rest of the staff were excellent!!!
MoreThis was a spectacular find for a Friday evening meal. We only had to wait 5 minutes and it is well worth the wait . I highly recommend the steak tartare and the skirt steak was amazing! Excellent all around!
MoreA mix of good and bad. The service was painfully slow. Our server didn't come to our table for the first 20 minutes. We had to call over a passing server to order, and when our server finally came, he didn't know we had ordered through another server. The rosemary bread was good. Very uniquely shaped and flavorful. The mussels were OK; nothing to write home about. Their special appetizer: fried soft-shell crab, was also just OK. Their desserts were pretty good. I loved their flat apple tart and their chocolate dessert dish.Overall, we had a nice time but probably won't go back.
MoreWonderful, charming neighborhood spot with a lot of personality. Food is delicious - and they've got a great bottomless brunch deal with mimosas. It's very easy to make back your money on the deal!
MoreWonderful little spot right by the Q 2nd Avenue station. Good wine by glass, friendly service and delicious food. Just the right place to start or end a day of museum hopping nearby.
MoreService was terrible, food was ok until we were served a $140 steak that was almost frozen. After spending almost $600 we were offered to take the rest of our wine home cause they were closing. 10:00pm.
MoreBest omelet I’ve had in years. Cute and cozy with lovely ambience.
Nice bar, good service. Wine choices good for by the glass option but my favorite Multipulciano was not available by the glass. Later sat at table and service was very good. Food choices excellent-upcharge for sharing. Although space was smallish, tables not too close.
MoreWhat a pleasant experience at Little frog. The personnel is very friendly and informative. It was a first time French Dinner for me, Yes had the frog legs and the escargot!!!! It was amazing, will definitely recommend. They had a pretty good selection of wines and their stakes was also phenomenal. But the touch in my heart was the chocolate dessert with passion fruit couli.
MoreI celebrated my PhD today in this excellent restaurant. Well we passed a awesome evening and the restaurant was undoubtedly one of the reasons for that strong evening. The stuff participated in a gorgeous way, the cuisine was delicious and my friends were extremely overjoyed. We shall definitely return for more joyful events. thanks very much.
MoreHands down the BEST service and MOST DELICIOUS food ever. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating for my baby shower brunch, and everyone was raving for days after (especially me). Highly recommended for groups and date nights. We will be back to experience this hidden gem again and again and again and again!!
MoreGreat atmoshphere! Great food. Service was outstanding.
Fantastic French bistro! The food was sensational, the atmosphere lively but not too loud or disrupting and the staff were friendly and attentive. The wine list was one of the best I've seen at a reasonably priced restaurant, each wine was carefully chosen by the owner and if he didn't like the wine, it didn't make the list! I think that's a great way to run a restaurant, adds a wonderful personal touch.
MoreI live in the neighborhood and have meaning to come here for quite some time. The Manager Bernard greeted me at the door and took my coat. The bartender and Bernard gave thoughtful food and drink suggestions. I ended up ordering the Prix Fixe meal with the Salmon Tartare, Escargot, and Creme Brûlée. Took advantage of the Happy Hour and had a few martinis (mid sipping my third as I write this). Needless to say after a full paragraph, I plan to become a repeat guest. Thank you for the hospitality!
MoreAmazing food and service at this small French bistro. The staff is courteous and this spot is well worth the visit
MoreVery rude and pretentious manager (the owner). A rather expensive place.
Excellent attentive serviceOnion soup and mussels were superb,They were big and tasty. It has great energy, terrific food andWaiters that care
MoreDelightful experience. Attentive staff and owner. Both genuine French from France. Original takes/twists on traditional and French offerings that were delicious. Try the papas bravas: diced potatoes for a brunch side, but a dusting of special spices gives the first taste a zing, immediately followed by the creamy cooling interior. Yum!!!
MoreSince the doors opened this restaurant has been a jewel. Inspiring French fare, airy decor and a great wine list. Each time I go I could just hang out for hours.
MoreUnevenly seasoned potatoes - some cubes were plain, others saltier than Brazil's soccer team. Steak came out cold, when reheated, was too oily. But the onion soup was excellent.
MoreExcellent service and lovely meal at this very lively French Bistro.
Love this for a little date spot. Steak and frites was light and delicious. Great cocktails. The lighting was a bit bright but overall enjoyed our meal.
MoreAmazing food, great service and atmosphere
Had the duck for two, and it was worth it. Every time we go we say why dont we go here more because of how good the food is and how nice the owner is. Great Menu, everything seems fresh. cocktails are top. staff is super friendly.
MoreDelicious food, good service All around nice experience.
Finally some delicious authentic French food in the UES. No need to go downtown.
Little Frog is a pleasant French restaurant in the Upper East Side.It has a French bistro vibe to it, and service was friendly and efficient. The food was decent to quite good. Their bread is served in a small paper bag, shaped like a leaf, and seasoned with pine or some herb. It was very nice. The raw oysters were good, too, though had some broken shell bits. For mains, my steak au poivre was the only low point, as it was somewhat gristly and the sauce was bitter. I ate most of it and it’s not as though my meal was terrible, but I wouldn’t rush to order it again (they probably just had an off night). However on the flip side, the chicken that my wife had was delicious and is definitely highly recommended. Overall, the food was good, and the place is nice with friendly service.
MoreGreat little French place with approachable prices and friendly service.
Love this neighborhood bistro. Excellent classic French dishes, perfect ambience and great wine. Don’t miss no corkage on Mondays.
MoreA pleasant surprise! Excellent meal. The burger and the scallops were both amazin . I'll be back to visit this neighborhood gem!
MoreI went here before the pandemic and I was very happy! The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was heavy, but the portions were wholesome. I’ll be returning here some day.
